16 Hands is hosting a trunk show for Nicole Ardis, a popular local jeweler. She will be bringing in a large selection of her work to sell here at 16 Hands on Saturday, October 15th and Sunday, October 16th.
June & December create the simply elegant floral and nature inspired designs that can be found on some of our favorite dish and tea towels. And of course we cant help but go a little nuts for the "Smitten with the Mitten" and "Great Lakes" designs (What can we say, we're proud Michiganders 😉).
The founders of June & December, Katie and Nick Forte, have found that opposites can work together to successfully be a part of something bigger. Katie heads the artistic and graphic design side, while Nick has a mind for the business side of their adventure.
Also, being based out of Michigan (Woo! Go Michigan artists!) their products are proudly 100% made in America!
Swing on by 16 Hands, and see their lovely work for yourself!
One of the great reasons we love Houston Llew here at 16 Hands, is that if there's something important and meaningful to say, you can say it with one of his stunning Spiritiles.
Each one in his collection has a unique quote inspiration and design, and have a way of reminding you of very specific people or milestones in your life. Even though each one can speak for itself, another awesome quality of the Spiritiles is that they also go wonderfully together in groups and as collectables. They can both hang up on the wall and stand upright on their own to display just about anywhere.
The process behind the tiles is just as mesmerizing as the shimmering images with glass applied to raw copper. Check out how Spiritiles are made in the quick video below:
